In an article on NME.com about the regrouping of Blur, Damon Albarn has said that he's half way through the process of making the next Gorillaz album, he also mentions that the new record will be different and interesting; as is every Gorillaz record! If you're a big fan and need something new NOW, check out Albarn's lastest work, for a more oriental take on the style, in his opera, 'Monkey: A Journey To The West'.I'm predicting a late 2009 release for the new record from Gorillaz, but hopefully it'll be sooner!
